Recently, I hosted my first Tele-Town Hall. I believe that this gives me an opportunity to speak directly to residents of my district who may not be able to attend traditional town hall meetings.
By simply pushing a button on your phone you can communicate with me in real time, just as if it were a traditional town hall meeting. This is a wide-open format - there is no holding back on these calls.
Calls were placed to constituents and when answered a taped message explains what the call is all about, finally asking if they would like to participate.
Many of you got that call because more than 7,000 constituents packed the town meeting. We had the chance to talk about everything from concerns regarding the gas prices, taxes and our schools.
I will be holding more Tele-Town Halls across the District, so when you get a call from me, please join in the fun!!
